Bancrofts & North London Collegiate win 2023 ECF Girls Schools Finals
The English Chess Federation (ECF) Girls Schools Finals were held over the weekend 15&16th April 2023 at St Catherine’s School, Bramley.
8 schools for Under 19 (Secondary School) and 8 schools for Under 11 (Primary School) had fought through the semi finals last October to earn their place in the finals.
The chess very competitive with plenty of long, hard fought games.
Congratulations to Bancroft’s School who won the Under 11 section, and North London Collegiate School for winning the Under 19 section.
Well done to all the girls for getting to the finals!
Our thumbnail photo shows Year 11 students Emily and Alisha taking each other on in the first round.
Thanks to Andrew Martin for organising a well run event, and also to St Catherines School for their continued support in sponsoring the event.
