SPTW Slowplay Matches

Saturday 6th February 2021 saw 28 girls represent SPTW in a head-to-head match against Sussex Juniors. These girls were selected from our B Squad (ECF grade 91-129) and C Squad (ECF Grade 51-90) 

The girls relished the slower matches, which were 25+5 time limit (25 minutes per player, plus 5 seconds added per move). Girls played the same opponent twice, once with black and once with white. 

Giving opportunities for the girls to play tough matches and come together as a team is fantastic. Not only will the girls improve their chess skills, but it helps grow the team spirit we are fostering here at SPTW.
