SPTW Secondary Girls Online Schools League, Sponsored by Pinpoint Learning

The league meets online every half term since its inception in September 2020. This competition has grown fast, and on Wednesday 10th February 2021 we saw 19 schools from all over the UK take part. 

Girls play for one hour and represent their school from the comfort of their own home. This event is designed to encourage girls in secondary school, regardless of ability, get into chess.

Meeting 2 in November 2020 saw over 100 girls take part, where girls of England and County level participated as well as newcomers to the game. 

It is well known girls drop out of chess when they go into secondary school aged 12 upwards- SPTW is here to change that!
