SPTW attend FC Bayern Munich World Children’s Day Event

She Plays To Win were invited to a special online event on 20th November, held by the chess department of FC Bayern Munich.

The German Football Bundesliga Champions ‘were looking for another opportunity to enable international contacts between children from different countries and cultures’.

529 children from 10 countries and 4 continents took part. SPTW Founder Lorin D’Costa talked about She Plays To Win on the zoom chat to around 300 worldwide participants alongside England Women’s International Zoe Varney, as they were at the European Team Championships in Slovenia with the England Women’s Team.

As for the chess itself, SPTW performed brilliantly, 22 girls representing SPTW in the team battle and coming 4th place from the 13 teams who participated. Well done to all those girls who played for SPTW!

The date for the next event, "Reds against Racism" will be Saturday, the 19th of March, 2022. SPTW looks forward to it!
