Successful 2nd season in the 4NCL

May 2024 saw the final weekend of the 4NCL (4 Nations Chess League) the prestigious chess league in the UK.

Over 50 UK girls represented the 4 SPTW teams throughout the 2023/24 season, with many gaining plenty of International FIDE rating points.

SPTW Lionesses came 9th from 12 teams in Division 3, and stayed in the division. They won 4 and drew 1 of their 11 matches.

The SPTW University team came a brilliant 8th from 27 teams in Division 4, and very credible performances by the Young Stars A and B teams when playing far more experienced players through the season.

The SPTW teams are gaining great experience in their 2 years participating in the 4NCL. The girls are already looking forward to next season!
