169 UK girls take part in SPTW Primary & Secondary Leagues

Wednesday 30th November saw the second Battle of the SPTW Primary & Secondary online girls schools leagues, played on the Lichess website.

Turnout was excellent as 169 girls across both events with girls represented their schools from across the UK.

In the Primary Schools Battle, North London Collegiate School (46 pts) edged out Bute House (45 pts) with Notting Hill & Ealing School (41 pts) coming in 3rd.

In the Secondary Schools Battle, North London Collegiate School (50 pts) again prevailed, ahead of Ellen Wilkinson Girls School (33 pts) and Tiffin Girls School (26 pts).

It is fantastic to see so many girls taking part in this competition. Girls representing their schools are all invited to take part in future events, even if your daughter is the only one who plays chess in her school. Contact us here to get involved:
