SPTW Yorkshire girls training day

Wednesday 21st December saw 18 girls from across Yorkshire join up for a Yorkshire chess association training day, held in conjunction with She Plays To Win.

SPTW director Lorin D’Costa went up to Leeds to run the training and tournament day, where 18 girls had plenty of fun and learned a lot!

In the tournament, 4 rounds were played and 10 year old Aashita Roychowdhury won the event winning all her 4 games- the last game with just one second left on her clock!

The plan is for SPTW to visit more counties across the UK and develop girls chess with local county organisers.
