SPTW Primary & Secondary Girls online leagues begin for the 2021/22 season

The first meeting of the She Plays To Win Primary & Secondary Girls online chess leagues took place on Wednesday 6th October on Lichess.

In the Primary Schools event, 32 girls from 12 schools competed.

St Josephs from Oxford, making their debut in the event, won the first Primary battle with 37 points.

Bromley High Junior came second with 29 points, and North London Collegiate and Hallfield School tied for third place on 16 points.

In the Secondary Schools Event, 76 girls from 15 schools across the UK competed.

North London Collegiate, Champions of the Secondary Schools Girls League from the inaugural 2020/21 season, won the first team battle with 61 points.

The Abbey School came second on 40 points, edging Denmark Road (37 points) in third place.
